2024 North Central Triathlon

March 21, 2024

On Thursday 7th of March, 9 Donald High School students travelled to Boort to compete in the Inter-School Triathlon event. Four students competed in the challenging individual event which consisted of a 4 km run, 12km ride and 300m swim. The school also had two teams that also competed, completing a 4km run, 16km ride and 300m swim.

Baxter Donnellon performed very strongly in all three disciplines and was the overall winner of the intermediate boy’s individual section. Baxter is to be congratulated on this amazing effort.

Our other Individual event competitors, Toni Jones, Hugo Funcke and Sam Mortlock   gave everything and should be proud of their efforts.

Also, congratulations to our Junior girls’ team of Milla Adams (run), Maya Funcke (bike) and Halle Rice (swim) who were the winners of their age section event.

The other Donald High teams competed strongly and pushed the winners all the way. The intermediate boys team included: Baxter Donnellon, Luca Rice, Charlie Burke.

It was pleasing to see that all our students gave their absolute all and they are to be congratulated on their efforts. We hope to see even more students put their hand up to compete next year.

Thanks to Michelle Donnellon and Mark Mortlock who gave up their time to transport and support the students in Boort.

– Mr. Cashin (Assistant Principal)
